Harvard Expert’s Top 4 Diet Tips for a Healthier, Longer Life

With the new year here, many of us are thinking about new diets. But Dr. Frank B. Hu from Harvard’s School of Public Health says small changes to your diet can make a big difference in how long you live.

Here are his four easy diet changes for a longer life:

Focus on Whole Foods:

Dr. Hu advises eating more whole, less processed plant foods, like fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and legumes. 

He loves diets like the Mediterranean or plant-based ones that help lower chronic disease risks.

Avoid Too Much Processed Food:

A lot of our food today is heavily processed, especially sugary drinks and snacks. 

Eating less of these is really important because they’re linked to a 31% increased risk of dying earlier.
